Vermox Uses Vermox is an "antihelmintic," or anti-worm, medication. It prevents worms from growing or multiplying in your body. Vermox is used to treat infections caused by worms such as whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, and hookworm. It is also used to treat infections caused by more than one of these worms at the same time.
How to use Vermox Take Vermox exactly as directed on the package or as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Tablets may be swallowed, chewed, or crushed and mixed with food. Never take more of this medication than is prescribed for you. Vermox Side Effects This drug may cause following serious side effects : allergic reaction (swelling of your lips, tongue, or face, shortness of breath, closing of your throat, or hives). Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Vermox and talk to your doctor if you experience, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or a fever. Vermox Drug Interactions Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you are using , especially: Medicines used to treat seizures, such as phenytoin (Dilantin), ethotoin (Peganone), mephenytoin (Mesantoin), and carbamazepine (Tegretol), may decrease the effects of Vermox. Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with Vermox. Talk to your doctor and pharmacist before taking any prescription or over-the-counter medicines. Vermox Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Vermox Notes Do not share this medication with others. Vermox Missed Dose If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered, do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up. Vermox Storage Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom.
